Camp NaNoWriMo, April 2013: Day Eleven

Okay, so I barely got any sleep at all last night. I think the problem is that Thursdays are the one day a week I *need* to set an alarm and I had to be to work an hour earlier, which meant waking up an hour earlier, and I think my head is just like “you have to get up you have to get up” the whole night, which doesn’t allow any time for sleep.

Any rate, after spending nine hours with a two-year-old and walking home, I was exhausted. Like I knew I would be, which is why I got so far ahead yesterday. I barely wrote anything at all–I told myself I had to get past 19000, but I put it off until the last minute, opting for Facebook, other WordPress posts, Twitter, Youtube, and my empty e-mail inbox instead. I didn’t even leave myself rewards like candy or the daily vloggers I follow–I just did whatever I wanted. BAD NaNoWriMo form for me!

Hoping for a more productive tomorrow after some much needed sleep. Plus I need to write another TIFO article… ah. I should probably go to bed.

My favorite sentence today:

Her father had speared a piece of broccoli and brandished it at the servant who took a step back as though being threatened with a sword.

How many words did you write today? 638
How long did it take you to write them? Like… half an hour once I actually started. (Around 10:30 p.m.)
How many Facebook breaks did you take?  Only one when I actually was writing. But before then, I was on Facebook for like 4 hours.
How many characters have you killed off to date? 0! Instead of the riot promised yesterday, I wrote a flashback. Oops.
How many NaNoWriMo Angels have you murdered? One today.
Have you stopped using contractions yet? Nope.
What was today’s reward for finishing word count? Going to sleep. I’m exhausted!
Cups of Tea: o
How any pieces of chocolate were consumed? Three pixie stix, pop rocks, and a string of what tastes like a candy necklace but it doesn’t have any actual string in it.
Total NaNoWriMo Word Count So Far: 19063
Words to Goal: 30,937
Days Remaining: 19

As always, feel free to comment below with your own answers to this survey (or post it on your own blog!) 🙂
